		was born on 4th of january 1983 in La Habana into a a family of musicians. This is the reason that already at a young age she got acquainted to the opera, to ballet, symphonical music and trouvadoric singing.. At the age of seven Marialy started to get piano lessons, and at the age of 14 she reached the finals at the international Ibero-American contest in La Habana. A year later she was chosen to take part at the international festival of young talent in Spain. 1999 Marialy finished her exams and started to study composition at the Academy of the Arts with professor Tulio. In 2000 Marialy put all emphasis on jazz music. In 2002 she already won the national competition of young jazz musicians (Jojazz) ­ being the only woman so far to win ! Apart from being a jazz musician Marialy composes classical music for solo piano, for horn quintets, string quartets and for symphonic orchestra ­ some of them are part of the repertoire at the conservatory fo La Habana.
